At Midtown 12 South, we are launching a capital campaign to invest in the opportunity to secure, preserve, and enhance our historic building as a long-term home for gospel ministry—in our neighborhood and across Nashville.
make your commitmentFor more than 120 years, people have walked by this little church on the corner of 12th and Beechwood. Over and over, lives have been changed by the power of the Gospel. This building we rent has been home to various congregations, serving very different people, in a neighborhood that’s always evolving. This is a beautiful legacy God has entrusted to us. What could it look like for this gospel story to continue—to live on?
When city churches hit capacity, they often relocate in search of more space. But we believe this location, both its history and potential, is a gift.
We are nestled between universities that shape minds and culture-makers that shape hearts. We came here to love this neighborhood—and we’re not done yet. We also don’t want it to be about us at all. By having roots here, we are best positioned to reach out from here, to serve Nashville for the generations that come after us.
Living our legacy calls for an investment—in our building, our faith community, in Nashville.
We worship in a building that has housed gospel ministry for more than 120 years. We will celebrate and build on that history by securing this building as our long-term ministry home.
Learn MoreWe will invest in new programs and spaces where people can go deep in relationships and learning, including opportunities to investigate the foundations of faith and its integration with all of life.
Learn MoreWe will keep our eyes focused on the city beyond these doors, reaching out hands and hearts in active service, church planting, and ministry to the needs of our neighbors across Nashville.
Learn More$6-7M for new construction
$1M for renovations
$7M for building purchase or 99-year lease
We worship in a building that has been home to Gospel transformation for more than 120 years. We honor and celebrate that history—and aim to preserve its place in this community in an ongoing way.
We will invest in more opportunities to create physical space and ministry programs for people to connect and investigate the foundations of our faith, and learn ways to integrate faith into every part of their lives.
Creating more space within our walls will not shift our primary focus on the needs of the city and people beyond us. We will reach hands and hearts to our neighbors and greater Nashville in service, ministry, and church planting.
By expanding into an adjacent lot and building a new sanctuary, we are not just making room for people. We are making room to be the movement-minded church we commit to be—for ourselves and for our city—as part of the greater Midtown Fellowship family. Our heart is one of welcome, and our community thrives on opportunities to connect without being over-crowded. This renovation allows these values to flourish.
Every gift, at any size, matters. We have a financial goal to reach. But even more, we have a profound legacy to continue to live. And every one of us can find our place in it.
